Discovery Sailing Adventures & Dampier Trailer Boat Hire Awards

In 2004 after 3 years of preparation, time and passion, “Spinifex Spray” was deemed to be surveyed for commercial use and Discovery Sailing Adventures with owner/skipper Brad Beaumont at the helm, commenced charters for local, interstate and overseas visitors.

After only 12 months of operations Discovery Sailing Adventures received two awards at the 2005 Karratha & Districts Business Excellence Awards.

Discovery Sailing Adventures received “Australia’s North West Tourism and Tourism WA Award” sponsored by Tourism WA and “Best New Business Award” sponsored by Western Power.

In mid 2005 Discovery Sailing Adventures extended its business to include Dampier Trailer Boat Hire which has grown to a fleet of three Plaka Boats for hire with a view to increase this number to five by the end of 2008.
